Jed was a pilot at a big airport.
杰德是飞机场的一名飞行员。
He flew the work planes.
他驾驶工作飞机。
They were kept in the big sheds by the runway.

One day , Jed got a call from a man at the airport.
一天，杰德在机场接到了一个男子的电话。
“Please come now in your little plane. We need you to help us.”
请来你的飞机这边，我们需要你的帮助。
Jed started up the engine.
杰德开启了引擎。
The little plane went slowly down the runway and stopped by the big planes.
小飞机在跑道上慢慢地滑行，被大飞机阻拦了。
The big planes looked down at the little work plane and laughed.
大飞机看着小型工作飞机大笑起来。
“You will have to get out of our way ,” they said.
他们说，躲开这里。
“We are going to take off soon .”
我们马上就要起飞了。
A man came running over to the little plane. He gave Jed two big bags.
一名男子跑向小飞机，他给了杰德两个袋子。
“Take these bags up to the farm on the big hill ,” said the man.
男子说，将这些袋子带到大山上的农场去。
“There is so much snow up there that the farmer can’t get out.
雪太大了，农民无法出行。
He needs this food for his family .”
他需要这些食物来供给他的家庭。
Jed pulled the bags of food into the little plane,and it moved slowly down the runway.
杰德将袋子带上了飞机，飞机在跑道上慢慢前行。
The little plane went faster and faster .
小飞机越来越快。
Then away it went up into the sky.
之后就上天了。
It went out over all the houses and the farms.
飞机穿越了所有的房屋和农场。
Soon it came to the big hills. There was snow all over them.
之后来到了大山上。山上都是雪。
“I hope I can find the farm ,” said Jed.
杰德说，希望我能够找到农场。
The little plane flew around the hills again and again.
小飞机围着大山绕了一圈又一圈。
Jed looked for the farmhouse. Then he saw it.
杰德正在寻找农场。他找到了。
The farmer was outside. He was waving to the little plane.
农民在外面。他向小飞机招手。
“That looks like the place ,” shouted Jed.
杰德喊叫到，这个地方看起来很像。
Jed pushed the bags of food out .
杰德将袋子里的食物扔了出来。
They fell down into the snow by the farmer.
食物落在了雪地里。
“Good work !” shouted the farmer.
农民说，干的不错！
And the little plane flew back to the airport.
小飞机返回了机场。
The little plane went slowly past the big planes.
小飞机慢慢越过了大飞机。
“I did a very good job today ,” said the little plane.
小飞机说，我今天干得非常好。
“I helped someone who needed me.”
我帮助了需要我帮助的人。
