NASA's Mars helicopter is preparing to make its first powered flight on another planet.
The helicopter called Ingenuity is currently attached to the belly of the Perseverance rover, which landed on Mars last month.
Lori Glaze is the director of NASA's Planetary Science Division.
"We're here today to celebrate a great engineering achievement that required hard work, perseverance and above all ingenuity. The Perseverance rover carries with it the most advanced suite and of science instruments we've ever sent to Mars as well as several advanced technology demonstrations including the Ingenuity helicopter."
The helicopter's test flights are expected to begin no earlier than the first week of April.
