Now we turn to Hong Kong. Local government says it's not asking public servants to give up a special british passport that could lead to UK citizenship. On Friday, some reports said the Hong Kong government was planning to force employees to give up their British National Overseas (BNO) passports. Earlier in the week, British prime minister Boris Johnson gave the green light for Hong Kong residents with those kind of passport to eventually apply for citizenship in the UK. The move came as a response to China's new national security law for Hong Kong. Britain alleges the law is in breach of the agreement that returned Hong Kong to China in 1997, which China has refuted
