In Iran mask-wearing is now mandatory in all enclosed public areas. The country's president Hassan Rouhani said those who do not comply should be refused entry. It's part of government efforts to rail in a recent surge in new COVID-19 cases and deaths. Facemasks have already been the mandatory on public transport in Iran. But Iran City Council says, it's struggling to get people to comply. Country's overall death toll from the pandemic now stands at more than 11,000. It has recorded nearly 240,000 infections since February.
