Malan Flower was staged in Beijing on Sunday, bringing the China Children's Theatre Festival to an end.
Children from Beijing and Singapore performed together that show.
Wang Kun is the Director.
"We took 14 children performers to join an annual children's drama festival in Singapore last year. The joint show with local performers was well received there. In order to showcase the achievements in drama education exchanges, we decided to bring 'Malan Flower' back to Beijing by inviting child performers from Singapore to join us. Coincidentally, the show was arranged as the closing program for the China Children's Theatre festival. For these young performers, it means more than exchange visits but grossest strong friendship."
The Singaporean performers all come from the Malan Flower Art School, which was launched in Singapore in 2016 with the help of the China National Theatre for Children. It aims to popularize art training and spread Chinese culture.
Malan Flower debuted in 1956, the year when the China National Theatre for Children was founded. It has been part of the repertoire since then.
