A new round of trade negotiations between China and the United States is underway in Shanghai. This morning Vice Premier Liu He and Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan met with Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and US Treasury Secretary Steven Munchin. The talks are taking place at Shanghai Xi Jiao State Guest House. Today is the second day of meetings which are aimed at implementing the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries on the sidelines in the last month's G20 summit in Japan. This is the first round of trade talks ins made.
