Lawmakers in Hong Kong are strongly condemning the spread of violence caused by the recent protests. They made the remarks during a press conference this morning. Some demonstrators were beaten with batons by an unidentified group when they returned from Sunday's protest. Authorities warned against more radical acts condemning a former member of the Hong Kong Bar Association who advocated violence. A lawmaker called for all sides to communicate more and use reason not violence.
