The self-styled Libyan National Army, which is loyal to commander Khalifa Haftar, has handed over a prominent Egyptian militant wanted for scores of terror attacks to Egypt. The LNA is a rival to the UN-backed government in Tripoli. Now LNA spokesman told reporters the transfer of Hisham al Omari to Egypt had been completed in line with joint agreements between the two countries. It came after a meeting on Tuesday between the LNA commander and Egypt's intelligence chief. The LNA had announced the arrests of Hisham el-Ashmawi last year.
