And the Chinese embassy in the US also reiterated Beijing's position that cooperation between the two nations will benefit us both and confrontation will result in mutual harm. In a statement on its website the embassy said China also hopes the U.S. will abandon the old mentality of zero-sum game on the basis of mutual respect the US ought to adapt too and accept China's development.
Embassy official added that any attempt to put the national interests of some countries above others and the international community's interests reflects self-centeredness that would lead to nowhere but self-isolation.
