Anti-government protesters, have left Thai Government House, under pressure from government troops.
Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, says state of emergency operations, are not over. He says things still have to be done.
"Even though the situation has been defused I don't think this is a victory or a loss for any particular group. If it is a victory it is society's victory that peace and order has returned."
An army spokesman, had threatened to order troops to move in if protesters didn't disperse.
"The operations team would like to say that now we can control the demonstration."
Some of the protesters say, they remain opposed to the Abhisit government.
"How can Prime Minister Abhisit run the country? Most of the people hate him! Parliament should be dissolved and power returned to the people."
"Actually I'm disappointed but we will come back. We will not fade away."
