China's National Tourism Administration has warned Chinese citizens who plan to visit Thailand to think twice before buying tickets.
This comes as Bangkok and surrounding regions are officially in under a state of emergency.
Marketing manager of China International Travel Service, Huang Guoyue, says the agency is trying to protect its customers.
"Customer security has to come first. We keep close contact with our branches in Thailand, and our customers as well, to make sure that they are safe. We will also arrange for their quick return, if that is what they wish."
The China International Travel Service is China's biggest travel agency. He adds that currently he has not heard any report of injury from clients. But some travelers are already rushing out of the country.
