Sochi: Need More Help from China
The 2014 Winter Olympic Games will be held in Sochi, a southernmost city in Russia and located on the coast of the Black Sea.
In a recent interview with CRI, Dmitry Chernishenko, President of Organizing committee of Sochi 2014, said that Beijing has showed excellent organizational skills to the world since the opening of the Olympics, and hopes that Russia can receive help from China during their preparation for the Olympic Games.
"We now have 30 experts working in Beijing to assist our Chinese colleagues, such as in the weather service department of the Olympic Games. We have learnt a lot from our Chinese colleagues and the enterprises which built such outstanding venues. We sincerely welcome China's help during our preparation for the Olympic Games, especially in the field of infrastructure."
Dmitry also believed that the 2008 Beijing Games would be the most successful Olympics in history, and his organization will continue to send study groups to China to gain experience.
