Members of China's top advisory body, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, or CPPCC, have been convened in Beijing for the upcoming session next Monday.
Many of them say that they are honored to be the representatives of the Chinese people to offer suggestions to the central government.
CPPCC members will also discuss various issues concerning the livelihood of the public during the session, including employment, education, price hikes and wealth distribution.
More than 2,800 journalists, both domestic and foreign, have so far applied to cover the upcoming first session of the 11th CPPCC.
