On target/on schedule
Means that a project, task, or assignment is proceeding according to pre-determined timelines.
Completion status
The amount of measurable work that has been done for a specific project or task. Usually expressed as a percentage.
Milestones
Key chronological points that denote/chart important events along the evolution of a project.
Delivery date
Date when an assignment is expected to be completed.
Drop-dead date
Date beyond which there is absolutely no room for further delay in deliverables.
Critical points
Points along the evolution of a project that must be completed and delivered before any other project action can proceed.
Inductive reasoning
Inductive reasoning moves from specific details to broader generalizations.Informally, we sometimes call this a "bottom up"approach. Inductive reasoning begins with specific observations and measures of detailed tasks and assignments, which are then categorized and classified into functional activities (e.g. Sales, Marketing) to form general plans and strategies.
Deductive reasoning
Deductive reasoning works from the more general to the more specific. Sometimes this is informally called a "top-down" approach.

(step-by-step) solution to a business problem before you actually start to write the action plan.
