Lesson 16 Dialogue How to Grow Your Business Globally
Liz: What are the factors that led Johnson & Johnson to become a successful global brand?
Alex: There are a number of factors, but when you get down to brass tacks, the main one is to truly understand the global needs.
We always try to put ourselves in our customers' shoes and find out what they truly want from us.
Liz: I see. What else is the key to becoming a successful, top-notch brand?
Alex: Being just a good observer isn't good enough for us. The products should be the best of the best, the cream of the crop. The competition in this industry is pretty cut-throat.
Liz: That's for sure. Have you ever caved under pressure, thinking by the time a new product launches, things might go wrong?
Alex: Yes, to customers, sometimes your best isn't good enough. In order to become the world's best brands, they should always be perfect.
I don't know what the future holds for us, but our mission is still to bring the most satisfying products to the world.
