Chinese top livestreamers caught up in a public relations storm as the biggest shopping festival is approaching
Renowned internet influencer with tens of millions of followers, "Little Brother Yang," recently lashed out at Li Jiaqi, accusing him of coercing merchants by controlling prices during live broadcasts, triggering widespread attention.
In response to the accusations from Little Brother Yang, Li Jiaqi's team also issued a statement. It was stated that they have never signed any exclusive agreements with merchants, nor have they demanded that merchants control sales prices. The statement also emphasized that Li Jiaqi has always adhered to the principle of "seeking benefits for consumers," doing everything possible to secure discounts and benefits for consumers.
In addition to Li Jiaqi's response, representatives of some merchants have also come forward to voice their opinions. A representative of one merchant stated that they have never signed an exclusive agreement with Li Jiaqi, nor have they been asked to control sales prices. They believe that competition in the e-commerce live broadcast industry should be fair and that there should be no room for any form of monopoly or price control.
