It started two days ago when the 46-year-old actor singer Jerry Yan shared this Weibo post saying, "My child is here."
起因是在两天前，46岁的演员、歌手言承旭在微博上发文：“我的小孩来了。”
This, understandably, sparked baby rumors and an avalanche of questions by netizens as Jerry didn't recently mention anything about being married or dating.

However, fans in the know explained that Jerry only shared that post to promote an upcoming drama of his titled The Forbidden Flower.
不过有知情的粉丝解释称，言承旭发布这条微博，只是为了宣传他即将上映的电视剧《夏花》。
More than a few netizens were put off by Jerry's promo method.
不少网友对言承旭的这种宣传方式感到很反感。
Some called it annoying. Others called Jerry an attention seeker.
有人称这让人非常不爽。也有人称言承旭是在求关注。
This prompted Jerry's next post, which came a few hours later.
这也使得言承旭在几个小时后又发表了一条微博。
In that, he shared the same message, "My child is here", except this time he attached to it a music video from The Forbidden Flower.
在新微博中，他分享了同样的文字：“我的小孩来了”，只不过这次他还附加上了《夏花》的MV。
He also left a comment to apologize saying, "A staff member said that posting like that was inappropriate, and got me to attach a music video link. Sorry."
言承旭还在评论中做了道歉：“工作人员说这样发不合适，让我附上了MV链接。抱歉。”
With the music video, his post makes more sense as there's reference to a child in the lyrics.
在MV中，他的文字就更说得通了，因为歌词中提到了一个孩子。
According to Dramawiki, The Forbidden Flower is romance drama in which Jerry plays a middle-aged man who falls in love with a much younger girl who doesn't have long to live.
据Dramawiki网站的报道，《夏花》是一部爱情剧，言承旭在剧中扮演一个中年男人，爱上了一个比他年轻得多的女孩，但这个女孩却并不长寿。
The drama is slated for 24 episodes and will stream on Tencent.
该剧共24集，将在腾讯视频播出。
