But before I go, I want to tell you about a word that can be a verb or a noun:

"run" It has more meanings than any other word in the English language.

But many are guessable by how they are used.

Listen again to how I used the verb "run" a moment ago and see if you can guess its meaning:And I still need to run to the post office.

Here, "run" means to make a quick trip to a place to get or buy something.

You can, for example, run to a post office, a store or somewhere else.

Now, listen to this other part of what I said.

Again, try to guess what the verb "run" means here: The bus runs down 14th Street every few minutes.

This use of "run" refers to public transportation, especially buses and trains.

It means to travel along a usual route or at usual times along a route.
