In an article published yesterday, scientists assert that this is the oldest dinosaur in existence.

It's ten million years older than the next oldest specimen we have.

the bones have been sitting in an archive for 80 years.

This just in Empire State Building dedicated 80 years ago.

The dinosaur was found at the Natural History Museum in London where an Allen Chirag had started to catalogue it and then he died.

So, it's been resurrected by a new researcher.

And this isn't the first time a discovery has been made under strange circumstances.

This year, at the US National Archives, a researcher doing unrelated study found 21 pages of notes from a Dr. Charles Lille.

The notes were dated April of 1865.

It turns out Dr. Charles Lille was watching a play called our American cousin when a gunshot was heard at Ford's Theater here in Washington DC.

The president had been shot and he turned out to be the first doctor on the scene.

They were just sitting in a box for a century and a half...Until they were accidentally found!!!

We humans suck at keeping track of things apparently.
显然，我们人类并不是很擅长记录东西。
In 1820, a farmer was digging in his field looking for stones to build a wall and he found a head of a woman.
1820年，一个农夫在田里挖石头筑墙，结果竟然挖出了一个女人的头。
How surreal? Digging away, finding it a woman's head.
挖呀挖，就挖了个女人的头出来。可真够玄幻的。
That statue, it was connected to is the Venus de Milo buried in a field.
与他挖出来的那个头相连的雕像竟然就是被埋在田里的……断……臂……维……纳……斯。
Luckily, some French sailors walked by and offered the farmer money to dig up the rest of the statue and take it with them.
好在，几个法国水手碰巧路过，他们就给了农夫钱，让他把雕像的其余部分挖出来让他们带走。
Now it's in the Louvre.
现在，那座雕像已经在卢浮宫了。
I don't know what else to say about that.

Even the massive Chinese Terracotta Army was found by accident when a farmer in 1974 was looking to dig a new well on his property.

And instead he punched into a cavern filled with, you know, unique Chinese warriors that were centuries old.
井挖没挖成不知道，反正他挖到了一个洞，里面全是有着数百年历史，样貌特别中国的士兵，懂吧？
The same guy who commissioned those also commissioned something you may have heard of called the Great Wall of China.
你可能已经听说过了，下令修建这些兵马俑的那位哥们儿还下令修建了中国的长城。
So far, we found eight-thousand of these terracotta warriors in this cavern
到目前为止，我们在这个洞穴里已经挖出了8000个这样的兵马俑，
and each one is individual, with its own face, its own armor, its own detailing that's just insane.
而且每个兵马俑都是独特的，脸是独特的，盔甲是独特的，细节也是独特的，简直了！
Discovered by accident.
