- But he makes it, and he gets into his dream high school.
- 但是他成功了 他进入了梦想中的高中
- And he is ecstatic. Happier than he had ever been before.
- 他很兴奋 从来没有这么高兴过
- Because here he is-among the smartest kids in the country.
- 因为他已经是全国最出色的孩子中的一员
- Very difficult to get into this school-but he makes it.
- 进这所高中不容易 但是他做到了
- And there he starts to learn. He's happy for about a week and then the pressure mounts
- 然后他又开始学习 他又只开心了一周 压力又来了
- because it is a very competitive school and he has to join two varsity sports
- 因为这所高中里面竞争非常激烈 他必须加入两个运动队
- and three students organizations because he has to pad,
- 还有三个学生组织 因为他必须
- to build his resume so that he gets into his dream college.
- 充实他的简历好让自己进入梦想中的大学
- And he struggles, and it's not fun. But he says to himself, "this is just temporary.
- 他过得很挣扎 一点意思也没有 但是他对自己说“这只是暂时的
- It's only pain now, because later there will be gain-once I get into my top college."
- 痛苦是短暂的 等我进入了全国最优秀的 大学就会有回报的”
- And he applies. And on April 2, there is an envelope that arrives.
- 然后他付诸行动 在4月2号 一封信来了
- And the envelope is large. And he opens it up and he gets in.
- 信的信封很大 他打开信知道自己成功了
- And he is ecstatic, happier even that he was when he got into his dream high school.
- 他又感到非常地兴奋 甚至比进入高中时还高兴
- And he says, "now, finally, I can let go. Now finally, I can relax.
- 然后他说 “现在 我终于能放手 好好地放松一下了
- Because I've already made...I mean this top college. And I'm set for life."
- 因为我已经进了这间大学 我的人生从此稳定下来了”
- And he really enjoys the rest of senior year and the holiday and then the freshman week comes.
- 接下来他十分享受高中的最后一年 还有假期以及进入大学的第一周
- And he is ecstatic-Mr X.
