So I was born in Boston Massachusetts but I moved to Los Angeles when I was like four weeks old. So I basically was born and raised here. I wanted to be a truck driver cuz they had the biggest cars on the road, then I wanted to be president, then I wanted to be a NBA basketball player. I wanted to be Jeremy Lin basically.

断句:So I was born in Boston Massachusetts but I moved to Los Angeles
when I was like four weeks old.

So I was born in Boston Massachusetts
第二部分:but I moved to Los Angeles
When I was like four weeks old.

连读:But I 的连读要把t和后面I 连在一起;
When Peter told me I was fired, I was like, are
you freaking kidding me? I’m the top 10% salesmen in our company.

搭配:be born and raised 土生土长的/bring up
例句:I was born and raised in China.
I was born in China but I moved to America when I was like four weeks old and I was brought up there.

So before doing music I was an accountant. So when I graduated from college as a 2010 that was like the peak of unemployment, I don’t know if you guys know that, but so, um, I basically just was happy with any job I got and I was just really happy that I wasn’t unemployed, so accounting was very safe and so I did that, and I just didn’t enjoy it man. It just wasn’t for me. So I just moved on to music.

As a 2010作
I don’t know if you guys know that.
Are you alright? Are you okay? Hello?

It just wasn’t for me.
…. Is so me.

There was a lot of verbal resistance from my family like ‘why are you quitting your job, you know, in this job market you got a job, why would you not appreciate it and quit and do music and If you are doing music, why aren’t you doing violin, that you know, we spend too much money and time on you for like 12 years. Why are you doing like singing when did you start singing’, you know like, but I didn’t ask them for any help financially and I was kinda like. I know my dad saw firsthand how much time I was spending when I was, you know while I was working or so. So I think he understood because he was here witnessing at all.

Why are you doing something? Why would you not do something?

3) ask someone for help

4) witness v.见证。
