this is my common veg coleslaw
这是我平时会做的一道凉拌卷心菜

now im going to do a common veg coleslaw
现在我要做一个普通的素的凉拌卷心菜
im a bit of a common man myself ok
我本来就是一个普通人好吧
and i like to think of myself as a people person
而且我也希望我是一个社交型的人
now im going to use up all the veg
现在我要用掉所有的这些蔬菜
that is in the bottom of the fridge
被我放在冰箱最底层的蔬菜
carrots onion maybe maybe a bit of red cabbage from sunday

who knows

white cabbage savoy cabbage
白菜，包菜
whatever you have got in the bottom of the fridge, use it up
随便你冰箱里有什么，都可能拿来用
what you need is a grater
你需要一个擦菜板
every body has got one of these
这个应该人人都有吧
just grate it all
把它们全部擦完就好了
you want about the same amount of cabbage onion and carrot
甘蓝、洋葱和胡萝卜的量要一样

a bit of cabbage

really quick really simple

great for bbqs

onions are quite powerful and not being cooked

its got a little bit of a kick behind it
所以可能会有点儿冲
so maybe not as much as you would put of the carrot and the cabbage okay
所以你可能不需要擦甘蓝和胡萝卜那么多好吧
im going to put one more carrot
我准备再来一个胡萝卜
i'm just feeling the carrot right now
现在我已经爱上胡萝卜了
that's it, done

whack them in

a little bit of seasoning okay
来点儿调料，好了
remember, you can add but you cant take away
记住了，只能做加法不能做减法
put a little bit of sumac why not

Greek yogurt okay

we could use mayonnaise
我们也可以用蛋黄酱
if you've got a tub in a cupboard
如果你的橱柜里有盆的话
mix it all up together
把它们搅拌均匀
obviously a normal coleslaw is a lot heavier than this
显然，一般的凉拌卷心菜要比这个稠
because its mayonnaise
因为用的是蛋黄酱
and mayonnaise has got vinegar in as well and its quite acidic
蛋黄酱里也有醋酸，会比较酸
this is really light and creamy and its quite zesty as well
我们做的这个味道比较清淡，比较滑，而且很香
i'm going to put a little bit taragon in there.
我准备再放点儿龙艾进去
just a touch
一点点就可以
add a little bit of colour
给它点缀点儿颜色
maybe a squeeze of lemon. beautiful
也可以挤点儿柠檬汁，漂亮
