it was a nice summer's day
这是一个晴朗的夏日
so me and my friends decided to take a trip to an island
我和朋友打算去一个岛玩玩儿
which was 40 minutes away by ferry from Oakland
从奥克兰坐渡船40分钟就能到
so the day started like any other
这一天的开始和其他时候没什么两样
and after that was done I was ready to go meet my friends and take the ferry to the island
做完了这些事，我就准备去见朋友，然后乘船去那个岛了
halfway through the ferry ride, the wind got so strong
坐船坐到一半的时候，风变得特别大
but it did give us this cool like model hair fit
但大风也让我们爽了一把，感觉就像模特在镜头面前甩头发一样
after arriving on the island we went to search for bikes we could hire out to explore the island
上岛之后，我们就去找租车的地方，然后在这个岛上四处转转
so it was time to explore the island but we kind of had some trouble along the way
现在是时候去探索这座岛屿了，但是我们在路上遇到了一个问题
I was like choking on this,

and finally we're off to explore the island
我们终于要骑自行车去转转，
cycling and enjoying the outdoors, we were off to our next destination, the vineyard
骑着车，享受户外的新鲜空气，我们准备去下一个目的地，也就是葡萄园了
and then this happened
结果发生了下面的事情
are we lost? up the hill that we just came
我们是不是迷路了？又骑到我们刚才来的那个山坡上去？

啊我的天啦，我的天啦

there is an insect stuck in the spider net
蜘蛛网上有一只昆虫被困住了
after very long bike ride, we're finally here
骑了好久的车，我们总算是到了
so they have a wedding going on
这儿有人在举行婚礼
so we got to go to the next vineyard
所以我们得去下一个葡萄园了
the next vineyard we came to had a beautiful garden and a spectacular view of the sea
我们接下来去的那个葡萄园有一个漂亮的花园，而且有漂亮的海景
however little did we know all of the vineyards had a wedding reservation so they closed early
但是，我们不知道所有的葡萄园都被办婚礼的人预订了， 所以他们很早就关门了
so our last resort was to go get some ice cream
最后我们只好去吃点儿冰淇淋了
even though we couldn't go wine-tasting at the vineyard
虽然我们不能在葡萄园品尝葡萄酒
it was a great day embracing nature, cycling around the island and ending the day off with ice cream
但是能够亲近大自然，在岛上骑自行车，并且在一天结束之前吃点儿冰淇淋也很不错的
