Chris Cornell's widow has penned a letter addressed to the late Soundgarden frontman days after he took his own life. According to the Associated Press, Vicky Cornell writes that she's sorry she didn't "see what happened to him that night".
Cornell was pronounced dead on May 18th after being found unresponsive in his Detroit hotel room. In her note published online by Billboard, Vicky wrote, "I'm sorry you were alone, and I know that was not you, my sweet Christopher. Your children know that too, so you can rest in peace." She has said her husband may have taken more of an anti-anxiety drug than he was prescribed. Wayne County medical examiner's office said the 52-year-old Cornell hanged himself.
