Ok, folks. Welcome everybody to this presentation this morning.
I hope everyone has some food; it's there and it's to sort of calm you down and welcome you into the morning.
It's a very civilized way to begin a talk, I think.
So help yourself to the food and enjoy it.
We're so happy to have Dr. Mike Chapman with us today.
And because he's a Suffolk graduate, that one of the reasons, actualy he was a good student
actually he was an outstanding student And the faculty who taught him have all told me that.
And then he went on to B.C. another school in the area and got a PhD there.
And now he's teaching at Peking University.
Peking University is probably, is known as the Harvard of China.
It has tremendous prestige. It's a huge university, filled with research institutes,
world renowned scholars, they do a lot of publishing there, and international conferences.
And so Dr. Chapman has been hired to teach, I think, American History is hs field actually,or world history, international history.
And that's, he's published in that area too.
But he's done some very interesting thing, because he's been living in Beijing and he's been looking at the situation around him in Beijing,
he offers a course on the City of Beijing, where it's been and more important, for him, where it's going.
