对于外国人来说，学说汉语是一件困难的任务，但是学习阅读这些优美复杂的书面汉字可会容易些。薛晓岚通过简单的课堂，教导学生认识汉字背後理念和其意思，由简单的字根组成到复杂的概念。她管这方法叫“Chineasy”。
