Well, that's the way was established by the founders

There certainly plenty of people who find it not entirely democratic
and there been a lot of arguments made to get rid of it
One thing I should say though
I'm trying to avoid opining myself getting my own opinions
and it's impossible to be totally neutral
right, I know no one can do it but that's sort of my goal
So I guess I'm reluctant to say
If I think it's a good idea or a bad idea
If you want to talk in public. I'll tell you what I think
but I don't wanna come down on one side or another
I wanna talk about how republicans see it and how democrats see it and try to be neutral
but you certainly all right there very strong argument against this
and it favors states that vote republican in general
now we have Vermont, we have Delaware, they have three
District Columbia has three

So there are some eastern democratic voting areas

They get a little bit of favor
but we have while Hawaii here at four
but it's overall it does help the republicans
there's no doubt about that. yes?
Yeah, so the question is the conventional wisdom is if you win a few swing states
Pennsylvania 21 electoral, votes Ohio 20, Florida 27
These are states with a lot of electoral votes very rich,
and they tend to be right on that sort of the razors edge and that then becomes the key
it's been a long time since any candidates have tried to campaign in 50 states
Richard Nixon tried it in 1960 and it didn't help him at all
and so really the conventional wisdom is don't try to do this
Figure the states you would get, if you got real great chance of winning, you can sort of ignored
Interesting Minnesota, here this has been the most democratic voting state
for the last half century and it shows somewhat weak for Obama
