We can use the shorter form of the auxiliary verb "to be"
我们可以用助动词中to be的较短的形式
He's enjoying his course
他享受着他的课程
Remember that verbs can be put into 2 categories
记住,动词可以分为两种类别
Static or dynamic
静态动词,或者动态动词
Static verbs refer to a state that is not likely to change
静态动词用于不太可能改变的状态
Anna hates onions
安娜讨厌洋葱
Jim grows vegetables in his garden
吉姆在他的院子里种蔬菜
Dynamic verbs describe actions or things that happen
动态动词用于描述发生的行为或事情
Anna plays golf on Sundays
安娜在星期天打高尔夫
Ice cream melts in the sun
冰淇淋在太阳下融化
Some verbs can be both static and dynamic verb
有些动词可以同时兼具动态性和静态性
Depending on how that used in a sentence
取决于你如何在句子里运用它
For example, the verb "look"
用动词look打个比方
He looks like a nice person
他看起来是个好人
It's a static, it relies to somebody's impression
这是个静态动词,依于对他人的印象
He is looking for a word in the dictionary
他正在词典里查找一个单词
It's dynamic, it relies to a temporary situation
这是个动态动词,依于一个暂时性的情况
On next dialog uses present simple
下一个情景对话中
and present continues verbs
将会用上一般现在时和一般进行时动词
Read the subtitles out loud as you follow along
在观看时大声朗读字幕
Do you love me, my dear Maid Marian?
你爱我吗,我亲爱的梅德·玛丽安?
Robin, I hate archery
罗宾,我讨厌箭术
Does that really matter when I love you?

Your friends are weird

Little John is so big, and that doesn't make any sense at all

He lives on the other side of the forest from me

I'm not asking you to marry him

I'm asking you to love me

He doesn't even look like a John

We don't have to call him
我们没必要去找他呀
if it really bothers you

so he isn't around very much
所以也不是经常有空
Now tell me, do you love me?

Did you notice the question form

and the negative form of the present simple verbs?

Listen for it this time as you hear the dialog again

There were 3 question forms in the dialog

Past simple and past continuous verbs
一般过去时和过去进行时动词
also have a few rules to follow
同样有些规则可循
Remember that in the past simple
记住,在一 般过去时的情况下
Regular verbs are followed by "ed"
规则动词要后缀ed
She studied for her exam
她为考试学习了
He worked on his assignment
他做作业了
Irregular verbs have to be learned individually
不规则动词需要挨个进行学习
There is a list of irregular verbs on page 155 of your student's book
在你的教科书第155页有一个不规则动词的列表
Anna left the book on the table
安娜把书留在桌子上了
It's "leave"
动词原形是leave
Jim ate the apple
吉姆吃了苹果
It comes from "eat"
动词原形是eat
