Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has just arrived in Xi'an, at the start of his three-day tour in China.

It will be Modi's first official visit to China since taking office in May last year.

He is scheduled to travel to three Chinese cities, beginning with Xi'an in northwest China's Shaanxi province, the home province of President Xi Jinping, who visited the Indian Prime Minister's home state of Gujarat last September.
