You Never Called 从未来访

A guy spots his doctor in the mall. He stops him and says:

一人在购物中心偶遇他的医生。他走上前去说：

Six weeks ago when I was in your office, you told me to go home, get into bed and stay there until you called. But you never called. "　

“六周以前我在你的办公室，你告诉我让我回家去卧床直到你来访。但你从未来访。”

"I didn't?" the doctor says." Then what are you doing out of bed?"

“我没去吗？”医生说，“那你现在下床干什么？”

拜访在英文中有很多种说法call on sb，call at sp分别指拜访某人和某地

pay a visit to sb/somewhere

come over to

visit

drop in/by

visit正式的探望拜访

come over to顺便来访（对方到我这儿来）

drop by顺便拜访(我去拜访别人)

2.get into/out of bed

get into bed表示上床，不一定是睡觉。也可能是躺在床上，或者做些其他事情，表示去睡觉用go to bed。

get out of bed表示下床，起身。
