在北京鸟巢的北广场上,为了迎合绿色环保的公园主题,能工巧匠们突发奇想,利用汽车废弃部件拼装成了一个巨型的机器人。
It's no secret boys love their toys and the transformers are probably one of the favorites on the list.
The gigantic creation you're about to see might even astonish the most serious cartoon enthusiasts.
11.5 meters tall and 6 tons in weight. This huge transformer is being put up at the north square of Beijing's Bird Nest. And believe it or not, it is all made of old auto parts.
Countless tires, steel plates, and hubs, it takes five trucks to transport the jumbo's components to the site. Assembling the two legs alone costs over two hours.
As one of the promo activities of the Green Dream Park, it showcases an example for the theme of Green Innovation, Green Fashion and Green Life that the Dream Park firmly supports.
"By doing this, we want to inspire others to make their own transformers or other toys with waste materials. In future we are going to hold competitions of this kind in the park and we welcome all to participate."
The Green Dream Park, which is home to many fun and innovative recycling work pieces, will open on Friday.
It's where waste material is magically turned into "treasures".
Visitors can even try their hand at making something themselves.
