1.squeaky adj. 吱吱响的，发轧声的

如：He oiled the squeaky hinges of the door.
他给吱吱作响的门折叶上了油。

I named him Squeak because of his constant squeaky chirping.
因为它常吱吱地欢叫，我便给它取名“佳乐”。

2.culprit n. 犯人，起因

如：The culprit will be whipped when he is found.
那个罪犯找到後就要挨鞭子抽打。

The police are now on the scent of the culprit.
警方已获得罪犯的线索。

3.rim n. 边，轮缘，框

如：The valley ended in a perpendicular rim of granite.
那山谷的尽头是花岗石的断崖。

Trees rimmed the pool.
池塘边长了一圈树。

She opened the door, and the yellow light from inside rimmed about her.
她打开门，里面射出的灯光在她的身影四周镶了一圈黄色的边。
