1.horizontal adj. 水平的，横的

如：The sun rises from the horizontal line.
太阳从地平线上升起。

The vertical line meets the horizontal one here.
垂直线与水平线在此相交。

2.blemish n. 污点，缺点

如：His reputation was blemished by a newspaper article alleging he had taken bribes.
报纸上一篇文章说他受贿，他的声誉因此受到玷污。

These wine glasses were sold at half price because of blemishes in the jade.

3.erect adj. 直立的，竖立的，笔直的

如：They erected their tent at the foot of the mountain.

4.blink vi. 眨眼，闪烁，屈服，视若无睹

如：The lights were blinking on the horizon.
