Jack: Yes, why?
Lin: It's already 5 to 11 by my watch. We must hurry, as you have to check in at 11:30 a.m.
Jack: 11:30? Come on then! We don't have a minute to lose.
(On the way to the airport.)
Lin: When does your plane land in San Francisco?
Jack: 8:30 a.m., local time, on the 14th.

A group of European tourists are traveling under a Chinese tour guide.
Tour guide: There seems to be some delay. Our plane is supposed to leave at 2:10 and it's already 2:20. Wait. That's our flight they are announcing over the loudspeaker now. Flight 620—now boarding for Guilin, Gate 5.
One of the tourists: Oh dear! Where did I put my boarding pass?
Tour guide: Don't hurry, Mrs. Smith. I think it's right there in your pocket. You needn't worry. It's going to be a very pleasant flight. Now ladies and gentlemen, would you please hold your boarding pass and follow me to Gate 5? Let's go.
Passage Air Travel
Air travel is popular for people who are in a hurry because it's very convenient. Airplanes carry passengers to various parts of the world very quickly. I often travel by air.
A few days ago, I had to go to Paris on business. The trip was urgent, so I went by air. I went to the airport by a special bus, which was provided by the airline company. At the airport we saw a large plane waiting for us. We climbed into it, and at exactly twelve o'clock it took off smoothly. Shortly afterwards our plane reached the sea, and soon we saw the French coast. It wasn't long before we arrived at our destination. Our pilot made a perfect landing, and we got out of the plane.
