1. A Bush administration report says the Iraqi government has made mixed progress in fulfilling political, economic and military goals. The president says he is still committed to succeeding in Iraq. A full progress report on Iraq is expected in September.

4. Roy Pearson just won't take "no" for an answer. Pearson is asking a judge to reconsider the 54-million-dollar lawsuit he filed against a dry cleaner he says lost a pair of his pants. A judge threw out the original lawsuit.
